Magicians Without Borders have been doing three or four trips each year. Each trip is about a month long and we usually do shows every day, some times as many as four performances in a day.

We perform in refugee camps and orphanages and occasionally in other venues such as schools or hospitals. We have been working in cooperation with other organizations such as The United Nations High Commission for Refugees, Kinderhof International, Salaam Balak Trust, Impulse, Our Children of Bombay, among others.

These Non Governmental Organizations have generously given us logistical support such as in-country transportation, accommodations, food, translators, etc. We have not received financial support from them but the logical support is invaluable and we could not do the trips without their help.

We have done trips around the world. We have performed in the Sudanese refugee camps in Ethiopia, refugee camps and orphanages across the Balkans,fifty shows in the orphanages and homes for mentally and physically handicapped children in India and Bangladesh and in about a dozen orphanages in Haiti.

We spent two weeks traveling through Ukraine doing performances in twenty orphanages and centers for street children. We brought lots of laughter and magic to preschool and kindergarten children in the mountain villages of El Salvador. These children are very poor and live in isolated, difficult to get to villages and they were delighted by the clowning and magic and kept asking their teachers “When will they come back again.”

We are open to invitations and suggestions for places to perform. We are committed to bringing love, laughter and magic to refugee and orphan children around the world. As the organization grows and we make more and more contacts we are being asked to perform in more places. Many trips are being planned for the future.
